Bistro-style cuisine inspired by chef Omar Dhiab's Egyptian (paternal) and Tunisian (maternal) heritage. The menu is organized by cooking method: simmered (80°C), fried (180°C), grilled (350°C), and roasted (400°C). Signature dishes include: Hawawshi (traditional oven-baked bread topped with beef, lamb, halloumi, and tahini sauce), grilled pigeon with spiced barbecue sauce, duck breast with jute mallow sauce, and Koshari (pasta, rice, lentils, chickpeas, and a spicy tomato sauce). The cuisine is designed to be shared. All meats served at Elbi are certified halal.
What are the menus and prices?
At lunchtime: set menu at €29 (starter, main course, dessert). À la carte: starters and main courses for dinner between €8 and €22, sharing plates such as the confit lamb shoulder for 2 at €70. Desserts between €9 and €18. Selection of wines by the glass from €10 to €15, and a wine list of 650 references (conventional, natural, organic, biodynamic) inherited from the cellar of Omar Dhiab's gastronomic restaurant. Cocktails €12-16, mocktails €10. For groups, a large private table for 7 people is available at the back of the room.
Who is Chef Omar Dhiab?
Omar Dhiab is the chef-owner of Elbi and its eponymous gourmet restaurant in the 1st arrondissement, which has held a Michelin star since March 2023. Trained at Pavillon Ledoyen, Lasserre, L'Abeille at the Shangri-La, and Loiseau Rive Gauche, he opened Elbi in May 2025 to express a more personal facet of his cuisine, inspired by his Egyptian and Tunisian roots.
What are the opening hours?
Elbi is open 7 days a week (including Saturdays and Sundays). Lunch is served from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM, and dinner from 7:00 PM to midnight. Reservations are recommended by phone at +33 1 42 26 40 14 or by email.
